Debbie J. Ahl : President & CEO
As President and CEO of Olympic Health Management Systems, Inc., Ms. Ahl directs and oversees the general operations of the company. Company core competencies include product development, strategies for the provider and insurance markets, product distribution (captive agency sales, third party distribution, and direct marketing), and comprehensive product administration (Medicare Advantage plans, Medicare Supplement and Select, and medical management services).

Ms. Ahl has been with Olympic since it began operations in 1989 and has held a variety of executive positions, including Executive Vice President of Corporate Development where she was responsible for network development, government relationships, compliance and regulatory filings, and new product development; and Chief Operating Officer, with the additional responsibilities of sales and marketing. Prior to joining Olympic, she held numerous key management positions with UniHealth America, Los Angeles, and its affiliated companies including ElderMed of Washington and St. Luke's General Hospital.

Ms. Ahl has 24 years of experience in hospital and health plan organizations, the last 15 of which have been focused on Medicare product lines. As a nationally-recognized expert in the healthcare insurance industry, she has testified before Congress on issues of Medicare reform. In addition, Ms. Ahl has spoken on topics related to health insurance and senior insurance products for a number of key industry associations including the Health Insurance Association of America and the National Congress on Managed Care.

Ms. Ahl holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Washington University.



Martin Catron, CPA : Vice President Finance
Martin Catron is the Vice President of Finance at Sterling Life Insurance Company and Olympic Health Management. He is responsible for all aspects of managing the department including GAAP financial reporting, budgeting and planning, Regulatory reporting, coordinating year-end audits with state examiners, internal auditors, and public accounting firms and the back office accounting which includes premium processing, revenue reconciliation and recovery and cash management. He also manages the Sarbanes Oxley compliance process and the office services team.

Prior to joining Olympic/Sterling in April 2006, Mr. Catron was a Director with a Sarbanes Oxley and Internal Audit consulting firm where he was the engagement leader for a multifaceted insurance company and a public health insurance company. He also served as project manager for Sarbanes Oxley compliance for both clients. In addition, he is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with over twenty years of increasing leadership responsibility managing accounting departments in the financial services industry, including a start up insurance company. He has significant experience in integrating acquisitions, operational auditing and financial reporting. He is experienced in various facets of management, including back office accounting operations, cash management, financial analysis, forecasting, planning, financial systems and improving internal controls. Organizations he has worked for prior to joining Olympic include Deloitte & Touche, William Penn Life Insurance Company of New York, Metallgessellschaft Corp, Amalgamated Life, Swiss Re Life & Health America, General & Cologne Life Re, Inviva Inc. and Accume Partners.

Mr. Catron holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at Binghamton and he is licensed as a CPA in New York State. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants.




Michael R. Gale : Senior Vice President, Business Development
Michael R. Gale is Senior Vice President of Business Development at Olympic Health Management. He is responsible for the identification, assessment and development of new business opportunities not currently supported under the company's present operational design, or not currently serviced through existing product lines of its insurer clients. Mr. Gale was previously Vice President of Consulting. In 1998, Olympic was acquired by the Aon Corporation, where today, Mr. Gale also serves in a business development capacity for other underwriting company clients.

Mr. Gale joined Olympic in 1993, bringing his expertise in Third Party Administration. Prior to joining Olympic Mr. Gale owned and operated two regionally based TPA organizations serving self-funded employers. Mr. Gale, co-authored one of the first approved applications for CMS's Medicare Choices Demonstration projects, co-developed the application for the nation's first Private Fee For Service plan, as well as continued development of PPOs for commercial insurance programs.

Mr. Gale holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Michigan State University.



Craig A. Bodway, Esq. : Vice President, Compliance & Regulatory Affairs
Craig Bodway is in-house counsel and Vice President of Olympic's Compliance and Regulatory Affairs Department. Mr. Bodway manages field and product compliance; complaints, grievances and appeals; and internal audit functions. This includes oversight of program and plan design, drafting, reviewing and negotiation of provider and vendor contracts. He is also responsible for obtaining necessary regulatory approvals and regularly interacts with state and federal agencies on issues pertaining to benefit restrictions, provider access, interpretation of regulations, and comments on proposed regulations. He prepares in-house legal opinions on a variety of issues such as fraud and abuse/anti-kickback safe harbors, HIPAA administrative simplification, and ERISA.

Mr. Bodway previously worked for American Guaranty Life Insurance Company for six and a half years, where he was Associate General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer for providing legal advice to the corporation on regulatory issues, contracts, employer/employee relations, tax, litigation, real estate and general corporate matters.

Mr. Bodway received a dual Bachelor's degree in history and political science from the University of Oregon and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Oregon School of Law.



Jill R. Johnson, MBA : Vice President, Operations
Jill R. Johnson is Vice President of Operations for Olympic Health Management Systems, Inc. She directs daily and strategic operations for the administration of Medicare Supplement/SELECT products for eight insurers with policyholders in fifty states, Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. Other responsibilities include assumption coordination as well as new business coordination and implementation for Olympic. Divisional responsibilities include medical claims adjudication, customer service, policy underwriting and issuance, medical case management and utilization review, provider maintenance, and contract compliance.

Prior to joining Olympic in 1999, Ms. Johnson was the Operations Manager of a private, non-profit community action agency responsible for budgetary oversight, contract negotiations and grant preparation. Other positions have allowed her to gain an immense wealth of eclectic knowledge and experience through her many and varied supervisory and management roles.

Ms. Johnson holds a Master's degree in Business Administration [MBA] and has earned the designation of Fellow, Life Management Institute of Associate, Reinsurance Administration through LOMA. Jill is also a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
