Olympic Online NPI Provider Reference
Important Information Concerning the National Provider Identifier (NPI)
All providers billing Olympic will be required to submit their NPI, regardless of whether or not they bill electronically, by May 23, 2007. Olympic supports the transition strategy advocated by WEDI in its white paper entitled Dual Use of NPI & Legacy Identifiers. This paper is available at: www.wedi.org/npioi/public/articles/index.cfm?fuseaction=link
Olympic’s implementation of the NPI will occur in separate stages, as shown in the schedule below. For access to educational resources on NPI and the process for obtaining an NPI, visit the CMS website at: http://www.cms.hhs.gov/NationalProvIdentStand.
