SW Washington Corporate Board Room

Recently, we were asked to refresh the AV system in a corporate boardroom and training room in SW Washington. Aesthetics played a big role in decision making for our customer, as they do in most of our projects. We designed a clean and sleek system to give the room a modern appeal while providing all the functionality of their existing system with some additional features.

Both rooms use Shure MXA910 ceiling array microphones to provide audio for video conferencing meetings as well as voice lift in the boardroom. We configured one beam of the room A microphone to send audio to room B so listeners can hear what the speaker is saying without having to raise their voice. Each room has dedicated Aver PTZ conferencing cameras to provide a clear, flexible camera view to virtual meeting attendees. A total of five 86” LED displays provide coverage for both rooms and they are plenty bright to use during the day in the well lit room. Users can display inputs from the room’s local PC, Barco Clickshare, HDMI inputs as well as a cable box.

The system is controlled by two Crestron tabletop touch screens and a cameo wall plate which can change the room presets, choose audio/video sources including wireless microphones and a streaming music player, and control the lighting system and the blinds in each room. The user interface is simple and easy to use. This provides the user with confidence that the system will work for various needs no matter who is using the room.
