Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue Conference Room AV

For local agencies, effective communication is essential for public transparency and fostering partnerships in today's fast-paced environment. The audiovisual upgrades for TVF&R’s Conference Rooms 215A and 215B significantly enhance meeting experiences, allowing for seamless collaboration, whether in-person or virtual. These improvements also help the fire district provide high- quality broadcast of their public meetings to the community they serve.
The system supports the divisible room configuration, enabling both rooms to operate independently or combined for larger gatherings. Conference Room 215A features a transformative AV experience. The current hardwired microphones are replaced with two Shure Microflex Wireless microphones: a bodypack with a lapel mic and a handheld option, both designed to optimize sound quality. A ceiling-mounted Shure Microflex Advance beamforming microphone array improves room coverage and intelligibility during hybrid meetings, facilitating clearer communication across distances.
For visual presentations, the outdated projector and analog cabling infrastructure were replaced with a high-performance Epson laser model, ensuring crisp visuals for all presentations. Additionally, a Crestron AirMedia wireless BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) system enables participants to easily collaborate without hassle, using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, or the platform of their choice. A hardwired HDMI wall jack is also installed for traditional laptop connectivity, ensuring flexibility for all users.
An upgraded conference camera system further enhances the room's capabilities. A PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera is strategically placed to capture all in-room participants, making remote interactions feel more personal and inclusive.
Conference Room 215B mirrors these enhancements, ensuring both rooms function optimally whether used individually or combined. Key features, such as dual wireless microphones and advanced video projection, remain consistent throughout. The design includes ceiling-mounted partition sensors that automatically adjust the AV functions based on the room configuration, seamlessly transitioning between individual and combined use.
At the heart of these upgrades lies a Crestron DigitalMedia matrix video switching system and Dante-enabled digital signal processors built locally by Biamp. This infrastructure ensures flexibility and future expandability.
The AV upgrades in Conference Rooms 215A and 215B elevate the meeting experience at TVF&R, aligning with modern agency needs for effective communication and collaboration. These enhancements streamline operations and create a more engaging environment for all participants, whether in individual settings or as a combined divisible space.
