When Portland-based creative agency Metropolitan Group opted to move their headquarters into downtown Portland’s historic Balfour building, they enlisted Ohm Systems to integrate state-of-the-art collaboration technology into this architecturally unique space.
In the large ground floor conference room (AKA the Creative Kitchen), Zoom video conferencing takes place with the aid of beamforming table microphones, column-array speakers chosen for their specific narrow coverage pattern and a high-output HD video projector paired with custom motorized drop-down screen. A high-definition camera at the front of the room ensures that all meeting attendees s are clearly visible to remote participants. All room functions are intuitively controlled with a color touchscreen controller.
On the lower level, a second conference room, dubbed Caldera Creativa, features a modular layout with one fixed video display and a second mounted on a mobile cart, enabling a variety of room layouts for different occasions. High quality Zoom conferencing comes courtesy of a ceiling-mounted beamforming microphone array and speaker system. A high definition camera sits atop the mobile cart, clearly capturing all participants. Finally, a wall-mounted touchscreen controller makes operating this sophisticated room a breeze.
The third and final room, aptly named Confer, is a simple, elegant space featuring a motorized screen and short-throw projector. Ideal for sharing visual concepts with colleagues.
